At least 13 people were killed and several were injured following the collapse of the roof of a stepwell at a temple in Madhya Pradesh's Indore on Thursday.
The incident occurred during the Ram Navami celebrations at the Beleshwar Mahadev Jhulelal Temple in the Patel Nagar area.
Many devotees are still trapped inside the well and police teams are working with locals to rescue them.
The incident occurred around 12:00 PM when devotees were participating
offering their prayers during a hawan at the temple on the occasion of Ram Navami.
"As per the latest info, 11 bodies have been recovered.
Of the 19 people who were rescued, two died. So, a total of 13 have died.
Order has been given to probe into the incident," says Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra.
